The Swartswood Deli is a small rural delicatessen and general goods retailer. It delivers everyday consumer products and services, including foodstuffs, prepared meals, coffee, lottery tickets, tobacco products, and other casual consumer goods to the residents of Stillwater New Jersey and surrounding communities.
The Swartswood Deli is focused on eliminating the carbon footprint of its 8 oz. coffee products through a Carbon Negative Coffee program which pairs each cup delivered with +15% more neutralized carbon than the cup emitted.
IMPACT MITIGATION STRATEGY
The Swartswood Deli has implemented a branded "Carbon Negative Coffee" utilizing a 1:1 product carbon offset. This product accounts for a 'maximum impact' associated with 8oz. cups of coffee up the point of purchase (85g/unit). This includes scope 1 (Materials and operating equipment) and scope 2 (Grid load/unit) emissions associated with sourcing, packaging, preparation and final delivery to customer.
"Carbon Negative Coffee" delivers customers the option to mitigate their carbon footprint. Carbon Negative sales are recorded by Swartswood Deli and reported to the Evergreen Exchange.

FIRM OBJECTIVE
The Swartswood Deli is presently exploring ways that it can practically mitigate the negative environmental impact of its operations and supply chains in a manner that is financially and logistically sustainable. Its present objective is to execute market testing on low-cost consumer products in order to evaluate market demand and price feasibility.
REPORTING SYSTEM
The Swartswood Deli records Carbon Negative Coffee sales on a monthly basis. These sales are reported to the evergreen exchange through the Offsetter Reporting system on the 1st day of the month following the Offsetting period.

The Chaiyaphum Wind Farm directly reduces harmful GHG emissions release from occurring by providing an electric generation source which eliminates the GHG emissions associated with combustion-based energy generation relative to an equivalent quantity of electric energy production.
