The Palmetto City Ballet is actively working to reduce and offset the carbon footprint generated by its operations — facility energy use, and audience engagement. By investing in high-quality carbon offset projects through The Evergreen Exchange, the Ballet is ensuring its environmental impact is measured, verified, and mitigated responsibly.

IMPACT MITIGATION STRATEGY
The Ballet is adopting a performance-based carbon mitigation methodology. For every production and major activity, The Palmetto City Ballet calculates its greenhouse gas emissions — from rehearsals to stage lighting to patron transportation — and offsets them through certified carbon projects.
This "Climate-Conscious Performance” initiative allows patrons, supporters, and partners to enjoy the Ballet’s artistry while contributing to a more sustainable future. Each performance's carbon footprint from venue energy is recorded and reported to The Evergreen Exchange to ensure complete transparency and accountability.

All emissions data and offset transactions are recorded, validated, and ledgered through The Evergreen Exchange. The Palmetto City Ballet reports its rehearsal building energy usage and offsets their activity through our Carbon Neutralization Program to ensure transparency and verification.

Take urgent action to combat climate change and its impacts. Wind Farms directly reduce harmful GHG emissions release from occurring by providing an electric generation source which eliminates the GHG emissions associated with combustion-based energy generation relative to an equivalent quantity of electric energy production.
